About Classic Cupboards

Classic Cupboards is a locally owned and full service kitchen dealer featuring top quality cabinetry, appliances, countertops and flooring all with a strong emphasis on great design. We were founded in 1983 by Stewart Lagarde who has over 35 years of kitchen design experience. Stewart has always understood the enormous impact that a well planned kitchen can have on your day to day quality of living as well as on the value of your home. In 1996, Stewart was joined by his son, John, and as they worked together, Classic Cupboards became New Orleans’ premier kitchen design firm. The majority of our business is referral based, and we believe this is attributable to both our original designs and to the level of personal attention given to every client.

Our staff includes professionally trained designers who understand the traditions of our community and who also embrace the opportunity to create the kitchens of the future. We realize that today’s kitchens are the new family rooms. Classic Cupboards’ organization is unique in that we have a design team approach. We believe this approach provides our clients with the best possible planning and design.
